Crochet Beanie Pattern

Materials: 

        5.5mm/I-9 Crochet Hook 
        Size 4 Medium Yarn 
        Yarn darning/sewing needle

Stitches Used:

ch	Chain
hdc	half double crochet
sl st	slip stitch
st	stitch

Note:

        This fits an adult head 20-22 inches around the head.

Crocheting the hat:

Foundation: Chain 41

Row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc down the chain (39)

Row 2: ch 1, hdc in back loop only

Row 3-43: repeat row 2 until your rectangle is about ~10x21 inches. (I changed colors at row 21)

Assembling the hat: 

sl st the 10 inch sides together to make a tube that fits on top of your head. You can whip stitch this if you want! Heres a photo of my two sides: 

Weave your yarn needle through the top and pull tight.  

Tie the weaved yarn (the one I'm holding) with the string used to attach your second color (other 2 white strands), or tie it against one of the sides and weave it in. 

Your hat is done now!! Just fold over the brim.
